Family Format: family economy
On April 25 and 26, 2026, Family Format returns, the training course promoted by the New Families Movement at the International Citadella of Loppiano. The weekend, entitled “Economy in the Family,” aims to offer participants ideas for “countercurrent” choices and lifestyles.
The theme
The word “economy” comes from the combination of two Greek words: “òikos,” meaning “house,” and “nomìa,” meaning “administration.” The family is the first cell of society to deal with economics, and all its members are involved in it. How can we ensure that the family is a driving force for economic change in everyday life, helping to build a sustainable future? Speakers include: Beatrice Cerrino, who holds a degree in Law and a PhD in Economics, and is a visiting professor in the Department of Social and Political Sciences, Economics, and Management at the Sophia University Institute; and Paolo and Ilaria Bertola, entrepreneurs.
What is Family Format?
It is a weekend of rest, relaxation, reflection, and recharging dedicated to families. It takes place in Loppiano (Incisa e Figline Valdarno – FI), the international town of the Focolare Movement, nestled in the beautiful landscape of the Tuscan hills. Accompanied by a welcoming team of families and experts, participants have the opportunity to share, grow, discover themselves, examine their relationship as a couple, rest, and start afresh. The program includes:
