The call for Universal Civil Service in Loppiano has been extended: new deadline is February 22nd by 2:00pm.
There is still time to choose Loppiano as the place to carry out Universal Civil Service. In fact, the Department of Youth Policies and Universal Civil Service of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers has extended the deadline until February 22nd at 2:00 PM.
Four young people will be selected to be included in the “Giovani Insieme 2023” project, activated in partnership with the National Confcooperative and the Regional Confcooperative Union of Tuscany.
The young volunteers in civil service, after an initial phase of welcome and orientation, will be responsible for organizing and participating in the creation and dissemination of initiatives and training paths, workshops, job orientation, and cultural mediation, as well as recreational and socialization activities.
Applications are open to all young people aged between 18 and 28, including foreigners who are legally residing in Italy.

The “Giovani Insieme 2023“ project aims to ensure quality socio-cultural education for adolescents and young people at risk of exclusion, supporting them through inclusive entertainment, informational, and socio-cultural services to enhance their participation in the social and cultural life of the community. This reinforces their sense of responsibility, solidarity, belonging, and participation in the life of their territory.
In Loppiano, the international citadel of the Focolare Movement, with over 60 years of history, young volunteers will have the opportunity to experience civil service in a multicultural and intergenerational context,alongside local residents and many others from various parts of the world who come here to participate in one of the Schools of Formation for fraternity.
How to participate
All young people aged between 18 and 28 (not yet turned 29), including foreigners legally residing in Italy, can apply. Applications must be submitted through the dedicated online procedure by no later than 2:00 PM on February 22, 2024.
