How did “Quo vadis?” go, the discernment journey for young adults that took place in Loppiano from 11 to 20 July? We find out in Daniele Cernicchi’s video, directly from the young people who took part.

‘It was ten intense days of immersion in the Word of God, of lived experiences, workshops, a time to go deep within oneself, of living together with other companions, of shared dinners with the inhabitants of the town,’ explain Paola and Jerome, from the team of organisers of ‘Quo vadis?’, the discernment programme for young people aged 25 to 35 designed to accompany participants in discovering their vocation and their life plan.

18 young people enrolled in the first edition, most of them Italian, who appreciated the method, the work and the accompaniment of the tutors, the opportunity to meet and learn about the stories, including vocational ones, of families, priests and religious. Their comments at the end of the experience were also encouraging. ‘Here, we felt deeply respected in our freedom. We feel that there are no ulterior motives. We have rediscovered a joy that we had not felt for a long time. We have found a family.’ Another, trying to express the journey he had made, said: ‘I feel greater awareness, I can abandon myself in God’s trusting embrace, live with questions without fear.’
