Jesús Morán, co-president of the Focolare Movement, will be the protagonist of the last Wednesday evening webinars from the Lionello Bonfanti Industrial Park. Gianluca Falconi, professor of “Features of phenomenology” at the Sophia University Institute and director Fernando Muraca will also be present with him.

We are (a) body. A reflection for this time” is the title of the last conference of the Wednesday evening webinars, organized by Lionello Bonfanti Industrial Park. It also wants to reflect civilly during this Lent so dramatically characterized by the Coronavirus pandemic. “I approach this theme with fear and tremor for three reasons,” explains Jesús Morán, co-president of the Focolare Movement and protagonist of the next online seminar. I am aware that we are now witnessing certain inflation of analysis and ideas; our intelligence shows a great precariousness in the face of a deep understanding of the real problem that afflicts us. Finally, the victims and the sick deserve respect, in the face of the pain of the other and the only possible and ethical attitude is compassion, in the literal sense of the word.

Then, his speech goes into the heart of the evening: “I must say that this dramatic situation that humanity lives, that we all live, represents a formidable opportunity to reflect on the human condition, on what we are and on our destiny. Corporeality is an essential component of our personal condition and it is around it that our existence and our destiny are at stake, whether or not it has a transcendent outlet. In this line, sickness and death are inexorable experiences to which we must either give meaning or admit that this meaning does not exist”.

With the co-president of the Focolare Movement Gianluca Falconi, professor in charge of “Features of phenomenology” at the Sophia University Institute and director Fernando Muraca will also be present.

In short, all those who wish to be connected, the conference will be tomorrow, Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at 8.45 pm to 9.45 pm, from the Lionello Bonfanti Industrial Park. CLICK HERE TO FOLLOW THE LIVE BROADCAST
